Whether you have taken a permaculture course or not, a bit of advice is often the one thing you need to get you going in permaculture on your own land, whether that’s a small urban garden or a full-scale farm.

We offer a flexible service which covers the whole spectrum, from a walk-round followed by a chat over the kitchen table, to a detailed design with maps, plans and planting lists. We find that most of our clients opt for the simpler end of the range. Those big, broad-brush decisions are always the most important and can make all the difference between success and failure. Filling in the detail is easier. But we are very happy to meet your individual requirements, right up to a complete permaculture design.

Fees - for corporate and funded clients, £350 per day for private clients, £250 per day. Plus travel and accommodation expenses. The daily rate is charged for time spent traveling to and from the site, and any report-writing etc which takes place off site.

Cathy Whitefield is now offering Awakening Coaching

Awakening Coaching isn't specifically permaculture but can be useful to you whether you are involved with permaculture or not. This form of coaching is transformational and addresses the deepest roots of your personality and helps you to get in touch with the consciousness which lies beneath and beyond your personal challenges. Through touching this deep intuitive self you can clarify what you need to do in order to change difficult situations. Awakening coaching can help you transform your relationships, facilitate new life directions, and show you ways of removing the obstacles associated with illness, aging and grief.

My coaching takes into account your relationship with your environment and thus is the people care aspect of permaculture It links you with your ecological self and your feelings about what is happening on our planet. I usually work in a series of three sessions at a cost of £50 a session. These can either be face to face, on skype or by telephone.

I have worked in the field of self exploration, self development and complementary medicine for over thirty years. I am a qualified counsellor, including relationship counselling, a qualified body centred therapist and I have now synthesised all my experience to become an Awakening Coach. I also facilitate and teach on the permaculture courses with Patrick which means I have a deep understanding of the kind of issues you may be facing in choosing to live a more sustainable life. I have a deep connection and love for the natural world.

I now bring to my practice deep wisdom, insight and compassion gleaned from a life rich in experience and in overcoming my own challenges. I have a gentle and sensitive approach and believe that as we heal ourselves we heal the planet.
