Welcome! We specialise in high-quality permaculture education. We offer a range of different courses at a variety of venues in England. We hope you’ll find the one that’s just right for you. Permaculture means learning from nature. The aim is to make our lives more sustainable and more productive while reducing the work and energy required. We do this by taking nature as the model for designing our own houses, gardens, farms, woodlands, towns and villages.

Now more accessible to busy people Our Sustainable Land Use course has always been popular. No other course in Britain offers its unique mix of permaculture and other subjects. Now we're making it more accessible to people with full-time jobs or home commitments. Instead of running it spread out over nine weeks we've reprogrammed it into five - with no loss of content. Not only that but it's now fully modular. You can take one, two or three weeks this time and the others in the future. The permaculture module is now two weeks and is interchangable with the summer Design Courses. So you could take three weeks in the winter and two in the summer to complete the course in one year. Or you can take a single week on its own - Ecology, Organic Horticulture or Sustainable Forestry - if that is what specially interests you.
The Courses The two-week Design Course is the classic permaculture course, recognised the world over. The Sustainable Land Use Course includes the Design Course plus modules on: the soil, ecology, organic horticulture and sustainable forestry. Permaculture in Five Days is for busy people. It runs over a weekend, so you only need to take three days off. Permaculture in Action - four days on a permaculture mini-holding - experience it first-hand!
